These are examples of my presentation boards that I created for my Intro to Interior Design class. I decided to re-design my living/dining room and make it my ideal room. I really enjoyed this particular project due to the fact that I had a personal connection to the space that I was designing.
THOUGHT PROCESS:
The concept behind this re-design was to create a space where me and my husband could come home and relax as well as have people come over and enjoy a meal. I wanted people to feel as if they had stepped into a place of serenity and comfort . I really enjoyed looking for accessories for this particular project due to the fact that I had just come back from Hawaii and had bumped into some really terrific furniture stores with some tropical accessories that I fell in love with and were unique.
IMPLEMENTATION:
I really wanted my boards to reflect this idea of clean symmetrical lines thus I came up with the idea of making my boards square . I think if I were to do it over again, I probably would have utilized a larger board to put at least two plans versus just one. Overall, I tried to implement an Asian flare to my work which reflects who I am and what I hope to incorporate in my up and coming work.
