AutoCad Presentation Center (I really liked these chairs and thought it was clever how they used these recyclable materials to make a seating area for their teaching sessions).

Reduce . Reuse . Recycle
This past week I had the opportunity to attend Greenbuild 09. I ran into these few items while perusing all of the different vendors. I have to admit that chairs seem to draw attention to my eyes. Here are just a few that I saw while wandering around the convention center.

Wallpaper Alternative
I came across this while going through our new products in our library and thought this is a really terrific way to fill in large empty wall. This is actually a clip from the gallery of Modular Arts. I really loved their interactive gallery because as you can see, you can pick from the different textures and see a real life application of the product. Contract Magazine also had a full page ad in their October Issue.
Another example is of MDC's Dimension Walls. Same concept but also provides a different variety of textures.

Conserving and Preserving Design
During my trip to China, I had the privilege of visiting a small shop a touristy minority park. We met a local artist there by the name of Ms. Sha Sha who has teamed up with local minority artisans who create their products to raise money to support their villages.

Lil' & Local
Now open! I stopped in to visit this new baby boutique called Stephanie's Little Luxuries which just relocated to downtown Scottsdale (Indian School & Goldwater Blvd) and found it a refreshing new find. Stephanie's offers full design services for children's rooms and unique gift items in their new store:

Young at heart...
I had the joy of visiting the Phoenix Children's Museum with a good friend of mine and her little one. I have to say, I wish I was a kid again seeing some of the great things that were here:
Discs...knobs...& ping pong balls
