Ball of String Light

I was inspired by Bertjan Pot's "Random Light" and as much as I wish I could afford this light I came up with my own version. Enjoy!~

Pumpkin Door Decor

A friend of mine loves Halloween and invited me over to help make some
super spooky pumpkin "trees" for her front door. Here's what we came up with...
Supplies:
Sharpie Pens
Pumpkin Carving Knives similar here
Hot Glue Gun
Plastic pumpkins (Michaels or Target

1. We stacked up our pumpkin "trees" to make sure they would balance.
2. We took our handy dandy pumpkin carving tools and started to cover out the tops of the bottom two pumpkins
so that they would stack easier when glued together and most importantly, so that the light would shine all the way through all three pumpkins.
3. We carved out a star/moon in the smallest pumpkin.
4. We took sharpies and drew our own "spooky trees that went all the way up our pumpkins.
5. We took a dremel and drilled holes on the the bottom two pumpkins
around the trees to look like "stars."

See You Later Party

Saying good-bye is never easy but "see you later" was more befitting to this party.
I decided to incorporated a handmade cake with the initials of the guest of honor,
cardboard heads of him and his family, custom photo cake and photo collage that I made in honor of his service to our young adult group fellowship.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Conserving and Preserving Design

During my trip to China, I had the privilege of visiting a small shop a touristy minority park. We met a local artist there by the name of Ms. Sha Sha who has teamed up with local minority artisans who create their products to raise money to support their villages.

Shells & Wire

This has been a long overdue project, but I found these capiz shells while in Honolulu at this great store called, Soha Living. I found a way to put them together utilizing fishing wire and a wire place mat that I found at my local Target...and voila! My own capiz chandelier!
